In 1993, after retiring from the air force after 26 years, Rick and his wife decided to start a new adventure and open up a store to help support their growing family. A small shop that started as a husband and wife team has grown through the years. Rick is still here to run the shop while his wife followed her true passion and became a minister and evangelizes across the country. They have 3 wonderful sons and Rick is enjoying the time he gets to spend here watching their once small adventure take off.
Rachel met Rick in 2002 when she was working in a small consignment store. Looking to find another job, she was led to the jewelry store. As the only true jewelry lover in the shop (you should see her jewelry box at home!) she jumped at the opportunity and has been working for Rick on and off ever since. She came back to full-time status in 2010 and is now the Manager. Rachel has a dog Loki who is her only child.
In 2004 when Rachel decided to start a new venture they asked her if she knew anyone to hire and she was eager to suggest her sister Chelsea. Chelsea has been working here ever since. She started as counter help and has since become our full-time jeweler. She has been our Jeweler for over 11 years now. Chelsea has a little boy named Dustin who is 10 and spent his first year here in the shop, sitting in his jumper seat by his mom while she worked.
Caitey recently started after Amanda decided to leave and be a stay at home mom. While Rachel was deciding how to fill the hole in her team she didn’t have to look far. Caitey is Rachel and Chelsea’s younger sister so it’s a true family affair. Caitey is currently attending school at Seminole State and has a passion for photography and cosmetology. She has an outgoing personality and a style of her very own. We are very excited to have her a part of our team.
Maria started as one of our best customers back in 1998 and then she became one of our hired help! Maria is always working to pay off her layaways as she is a HUGE jewelry fan. According to Maria “you can’t work in a candy store and not buy candy”. You can always find her here on a Saturday at her “fun job” shopping with customers and bringing fun to our weekend. Maria is a true Floridian: she grew up in Sanford and her family owned the old deer farm. We’re keeping her around as long as we can!
